Note: Please follow ALL registration steps at the bottom of this page to ensure that you successfully reserve your spot.
During your volunteer shift, you may be asked to assist with a combination of the following:
- Assembling kits for Green Chair clients
- Cleaning and organizing donations
- Outdoor beautification projects (e.g. planters, garden, front porch, etc.)
- Cleaning, moving, or assembling furniture
- Additional projects as needed
Attire:
Closed-toe shoes are required for safety purposes. We encourage you to wear comfortable clothing you can easily move around in and do not mind getting dirty (e.g. exercise clothes, jeans, sneakers). We have areas where you can change clothes if needed as well as lockers on site to store your belongings.
How to sign up to volunteer:
Please ensure that you have completed ALL steps below to reserve your spot.
- Click the blue "respond" button and either sign in or register for an account.
- To register for an account: complete step 1, "create an account," and step 2, "qualifications." Be sure to sign the volunteer waiver.
- Go back to the event page. Click the blue "respond" button again.
- Register for the shift(s) of your choice.
- You will receive a confirmation email titled "Confirmation: The Green Chair Project Volunteer Shift." If you do not receive the confirmation email, check that you have successfully completed all steps above. If you still have difficulty, please email volunteer@thegreenchair.org.
