Thank you for volunteering with The Green Chair Project! We look forward to seeing you. Please read through all of the information below and reach out to volunteer@thegreenchair.org if you have any questions.
Your team will be helping with our Shop for Good event. This is a monthly event where we sell furniture and home décor that has been donated to our program. 100% of proceeds support our mission to provide essential household items to families in our community overcoming hardship.
Duties: Volunteers will assist shoppers on the sale floor, work in our holding area, and/or help with checkout. You will be assigned a role when you arrive, but you are welcome to let us know ahead of time if you have a preference.
Parking and Arrival: When you arrive, please park in the front parking lot and enter through the main doors. From there, you will check in, have a tour of our facility, and then receive more information about your volunteer duties.
Attire: Volunteers should wear neat casual attire appropriate for a customer-facing sales event. Examples include a casual skirt or dress, or a blouse or collared shirt paired with slacks or jeans. Please no activewear or overly worn clothing. Comfortable shoes are encouraged, as you will be standing and moving around for the duration of your shift.
