Thank you for volunteering with The Green Chair Project! We look forward to seeing you. Please read through all of the information below carefully and reach out to volunteer@thegreenchair.org if you have any questions.
There are two shift options available on Friday, June 6. Please be mindful of which shift you are registering for, as the volunteer duties will be different.
10:00-12:00: Volunteers will provide general support to The Green Chair Project. You may be asked to assist with cleaning or processing donations, packing items for our clients, organization of donations or other materials, and/or additional projects as needed.
1:00-4:00: Volunteers will assist with painting several indoor walls of our building. We will provide the supplies, and volunteers will help to prep the space and paint using brushes and rollers.
For all volunteers: Please arrive for your shift wearing closed-toe shoes as well as comfortable clothing you can move around in and do not mind getting dirty (e.g. exercise clothes, jeans, sneakers). For the afternoon project in particular, please wear clothes you do not mind getting paint on. We have areas where you can change clothes if needed, as well as lockers on site to store your belongings.
How to sign up to volunteer:
Please ensure that you have completed ALL steps below to reserve your spot.
- Click the blue "respond" button and either sign in or register for an account.
- To register for an account: complete step 1, "create an account," and step 2, "qualifications." Be sure to sign the volunteer waiver.
- Go back to the event page. Click the blue "respond" button again.
- Register for the shift(s) of your choice.
- You will receive a confirmation email titled "Confirmation: The Green Chair Project Volunteer Shift." If you do not receive the confirmation email, check that you have successfully completed all steps above. If you still have difficulty, please email volunteer@thegreenchair.org.
