General Information:
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your shift start time to allow time for check-in. During your volunteer shift, your group will be assisting with furniture projects, which may include cleaning, sanding, staining, painting, or similar work. Green Chair staff will provide materials, instructions, and supervision throughout your shift.
Attire:
Please arrive for your shift wearing closed-toe shoes as well as comfortable clothing you can move around in and do not mind getting dirty (e.g. exercise clothes, jeans, sneakers). We have areas where you can change clothes if needed as well as lockers on site to store your belongings.
How to sign up to volunteer:
Please ensure that you have completed ALL steps below to reserve your spot.
- Click the blue "respond" button and either sign in or register for an account.
- To register for an account: complete step 1, "create an account," and step 2, "qualifications." Be sure to sign the volunteer waiver.
- Go back to the event page. Click the blue "respond" button again.
- Register for the shift(s) of your choice.
- You will receive a confirmation email titled "Confirmation: The Green Chair Project Volunteer Shift." If you do not receive the confirmation email, check that you have successfully completed all steps above. If you still have difficulty, please email volunteer@thegreenchair.org.
