Note: Please follow ALL registration steps at the bottom of this page to ensure that you successfully reserve your spot.
During your volunteer shift, you may be asked to assist with a combination of the following:
- Cleaning, testing, and/or assembling furniture and other donations
- Packing items for our clients
- Organizing supplies
- Outdoor beautification projects (e.g. planters, front porch)
- Other similar projects as needed
IMPORTANT -- Attire:
- Closed-toe shoes are required for safety purposes.
- Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing you can easily move around in and do not mind getting dirty, such as exercise clothes, jeans, and sneakers.
- You may be working in an area that is not temperature controlled, so please dress accordingly (e.g. shorts and t-shirts in warm weather, pants and jackets in cool weather).
- We have areas where you can change clothes if needed as well as lockers on site to store your belongings.
How to sign up to volunteer:
Please ensure that you have completed ALL steps below to reserve your spot.
- Click the blue "respond" button and either sign in or register for an account.
- To register for an account: complete step 1, "create an account," and step 2, "qualifications." Be sure to sign the volunteer waiver.
- Go back to the event page. Click the blue "respond" button again.
- Register for the event.
- You will receive a confirmation email titled "Confirmation: The Green Chair Project Volunteer Shift." If you do not receive the confirmation email, check that you have successfully completed all steps above. If you still have difficulty, please email volunteer@thegreenchair.org.
